CREATIVE PRODUCER AT WENTWORTH WOODHOUSE

during the first half of 2022, a bunch of like-minded creatives came together as creative producers for rotherham's children's capital of culture program, set the task of developing various creative digital skills within the grand setting of wentworth woodhouse and creating a final outcome that showcases these skills.

 

after a few weeks of skills development through workshops on writing, drama performance, songwriting, vr, filmmaking and more, the outcome was decided to be a unique short film that would be premiered across a four screen experience at an event held within wentworth woodhouse, which would also aim to inspire the next generation of young creatives to follow their passions into future careers.

 

the film tells the story of four young creatives in rotherham who have to overcome real world challenges to achieve their creative outcomes. bringing together the talents of all the creative producers, and with the help from some talented actors, our hard work paid off and the film was a success in telling these stories to inspire hundreds of guests including industry professionals and royal dignitaries at wentworth woodhouse at the house of future creatives event, which was planned and delivered by the group of creative producers over two days in june, appearing on bbc look north.

 

the house of future creatives event consisted of 'zones' which featured a particular creative skill, from filmmaking, to creative storytelling, to music production, to vr and ar experiences, allowing the guests to experience and find their creativity within each zone, as well as allowing the group of creative producers to showcase the work they had spent the last 6 months on, including the unique four screen film experience in which audiences were surrounded by the screens and had to physically turn themselves to see the action playing on screen, or at times all four screens would be live and would surround them into the film or give them a different view of the scene.
